As soon as I found a site in the UK stocking the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler palette I had absolutely no hesitation in the slightest in adding it to my collection. With such a diverse range of colours who wouldn’t want it!?

With a beautiful mix of matte, shimmer and metallic shades, the possibilities are endless as to what type of look to create. I love how rich and pigmented the colours are. Only the slightest touch on the double ended brush included, and the colour lifts right off. The shades are super blendable and easy to work with making using this palette even more of a pleasure to use.

Back to the brush, I’m pleasantly surprised. Usually I wouldn’t consider a brush with such a palette to be too impressive, however I found this one to be a great combination of two of my Illamasqua brushes that I use, the eye shadow and blending brushes, which makes this kit perfect for when you’re on the go.

I only have one negative about this palette, and that is the black shade, Noir. I do like a really dark eye at times and have tried and tested quite a few black shadows around, and although this was reasonably dark, I still feel that Urban Decay Blackout is the best of the bunch. More of a niggle really, and by no means should turn anyone off this exquisite product.

I had recently picked up a huge floral headband for a few pennies and wanted to create something that complimented the beautiful pink and purple hues and felt some of the tones in this palette would do that perfectly.

I used Intense Gaze on the upper lid, Heirloom in and around the crease, Pink Champagne on the mid lid and finished off with a little Chic in the tear duct. The lashes I have used are some chunky Double Lashes from Eylure, in number 202.

Using only a little liner from Inglot to frame the eye, I kept more attention on the shadow. I think this style goes better with a halo eye than a winged eye liner. My brows are carved using Anastasia Beverly Hills, yet again. The product is Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate to match my newly lightened hair.

For my lips in this look, I actually created a colour of my own using my favourite brand of lipsticks by Melt Cosmetics. Their shades are bold, bright and super matte and have a staying power like none other. For this look her I blended colours Summer and Darling to create this soft pink shade.
